Horstmann Blue Atlas Cedar is a distinctive compact selection of Blue Atlas Cedar prized for its striking silvery-blue foliage and irregular, sculptural growth habit. Its naturally architectural branching gives each tree a unique character and makes it an excellent specimen for Japanese-inspired gardens, courtyards, entryways, and other prominent landscape locations.
‘Horstmann’ develops more slowly and remains considerably more compact than the standard Blue Atlas Cedar. As it matures, its twisting branches and layered structure become increasingly dramatic, creating a specimen with year-round interest.
These are large, well-developed 6-gallon specimens with established trunks and substantial branching. Because ‘Horstmann’ naturally develops an irregular growth habit, each tree will vary somewhat in shape and branching from the trees pictured.
